Ali Hirsa

Ali Hirsa is a Professor in the Industrial Engineering & Operations Research Department at Columbia University, where he directs the Financial Engineering Program and the Columbia Center for AI in Business Analytics & FinTech. His teaching and research focus on applications of AI and machine learning in finance. He is also Chief Scientific Officer at ASK2.ai and Managing Partner at Sauma Capital. Ali has held senior quantitative roles at several financial institutions and is the author of two widely used books in quantitative finance. He enjoys bridging theory and practice and mentoring students on real-world, data-driven financial problems.
