Andrew Chung is an MSCS student at Columbia University with a concentration in Machine Learning, and holds research and professional interests in AI Safety, Agentic AI, and Applied ML and AI. He completed his Bachelor's degree at Emory University, graduating with Highest Honors in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. His work has centered on applied AI and model fine-tuning, most recently as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Adobe, where he worked on AI Agent evaluations and guardrail systems for agentic AI.
Andrew is motivated by the belief that the next generation of AI systems must be not only capable, but also transparent, controllable, and trustworthy. In pursuit of this, his work centers on developing methods to evaluate, guardrail, and interpret AI models and large language models, with the goal of enabling their safe and responsible deployment.
