Sanskruti Shejwal

Sanskruti Vijay Shejwal

Sanskruti Shejwal is a second-year M.S. Computer Science (Machine Learning) student at Columbia University and a Professional Development and Leadership (PDL) Fellow. Her interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, privacy-preserving systems, and software engineering.

Prior to Columbia, Sanskruti worked as a Software Engineer at Syngenta and has conducted research at Columbia's WimNet Lab and CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory. Her research on explainable AI led to the development of CancerXAI, resulting in two publications and a copyright grant. Beyond academics and research, she is passionate about mentoring and fostering inclusive technical communities.
