Hi! I'm Raksha, a Master's student in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia Engineering, specializing in Medical Devices, Design, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
Growing up, I was always curious about how things worked and how they could be made better. That curiosity eventually led me to biomedical engineering, where I discovered a passion for building products that can make healthcare more accessible and impactful. My long-term goal is to work in product management, bringing together technology, business, and user-centered design to create meaningful solutions.
Moving to New York City to study at Columbia was a dream come true. Living here has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I love meeting people from different backgrounds, learning from their experiences, and embracing every opportunity this city has to offer.
Outside of academics, you'll probably find me traveling, trying new cafés, creating content, or pursuing my love for acting. I enjoy stepping outside my comfort zone, whether that's performing, exploring a new country, or leading interdisciplinary teams on innovative healthcare projects.
As a PDL Fellow, I'm excited to continue developing as a leader, learning from an inspiring community, and building relationships that extend beyond the classroom. I believe the best ideas come from collaboration, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning, and I'm grateful to be part of a community that embodies those values.
